Mr and Mrs B

My husband and I wanted to write a few words to say how happy we have been to have found Glebe Kids for J. As you know J joined in January when we moved out of London and we were keen to find a very warm and caring environment for him as he was going through so many big changes and we knew he would only be at nursery for a further two terms before starting school in September. We needn’t have worried as J settled into Glebe straightaway - indeed he didn’t really need any ‘settling in’ sessions as he was so happy to come and stay for the whole day immediately! Michelle was a kind and warm first key person for J when he was in the nursery room but we believe that the staff have all really put a great deal of effort into getting to know J and celebrating his personality and interests. I am amazed by how much Lisa and Donna remember of their conversations with J to tell me at pick up in particular! They have also helped him with the things that he finds more challenging like getting involved in group activities and making friends - we have been so happy to see him becoming more and more socially confident with his peers since joining in

January.

J is an August birthday so will be young when he starts school in September but Glebe have been very supportive of this, moving J to Main House in January and preparing all of the children for the transition through stories and peppering in references to phonics, maths etc. J was excitedly telling me about how he’d been learning about the sound ‘m’ at nursery the other day and wanted to know more words with it in.

For us Glebe Kids has been an excellent place to send our child and I am sure that that will be very clear to the inspectors tomorrow too!

Mrs R

I am writing to let you know that A has been given a place at the nursery at his sister’s school and

will start there in January.

I am so so sad to leave Glebe Kids. You know I am. You guys have been amazing to both Z and A and

they have both gotten more confident and more outgoing thanks to you all. Both always enjoyed

coming to nursery because they got all the attention they needed and more. You guys have been

also my biggest help over the last few years. You talked to me, have taken all my worries away,

supported me in everything and I never felt judged which meant I could just tell you everything

knowing you’d understand and you helped me with lots of tips and I will miss every single one of

you, I will miss my village because that's what you all are to me.

Again, thank you all so much for everything. You are amazing!

Mrs F

My daughter, J, started Glebe Kids mid-September 2022, which was the same week as her 2nd birthday. At that point in time J had spent the 1st half of her life in Covid lockdown and was extremely upset whenever she was separated from me, her mother. I was extremely impressed at how quickly the lovely staff at Glebe Kids got J settled into nursery. J only does 2 mornings a week and after only 3 weeks J was going into nursery without any tears. Soon after that J was smiling as she went in and came out of Glebe Kids. Staff now get J to say bye to me and she walks into nursery smiling, saying bye and waving at me.

J's confidence has drastically improved since star>ng Glebe Kids. Her happy and smiling, personality has really started to come out since started nursery.

J has speech and language delays. Staff at Glebe Kids have been supportive in helping me refer J for county council speech therapy services and have ensured that they have kept tabs of my progress, so they know what's happening with her speech therapy referral. I was initially concerned with the several changes in staff in the 2 - 3 year old room, and how this would effect my daughter. However, I need not have worried. Staff changes where very well communicated, in plenty of time prior to the change of staff and my daughter wasn't fazed by it, which impressed me.

J and various family members have enjoyed the variety of events that Glebe Kids has put on so far this academic year. There's been a visit by Santa, mother's day event (we missed due to chicken pox), a someone special in the child's life event (attended by my mother, J's grandmother), A Standalone Farm visit and a father's/grandfather/uncle stay and play morning (to be attended by my father, J's grandfather). I am impressed by this variety of events put on by the nursery and the effort that staff put into these events to make them possible.

I am pleased with J's progress since starting Glebe Kids. I am happy to keep J at Glebe Kids until she joins her big sister at Norton St Nicholas school. I am yet to decide what exactly to do with J for her pre-school year in the 2024/2025 academic year, as I'm not sure I'd be able to use the full 30 hours for 3 - 5-year-old nursery funded hours at Norton St Nicholas schools' nursery. So, J will potentially be at Glebe Kids for some time to come. I believe this to be a good thing.

Mrs E

I wanted to give some feedback about our experience of Glebe Kids. Two of our children have been through Glebe Kids and our third starts in October. From our very first visit to the nursery, through settling in with both boys to our eldest starting transition into school, we've been really impressed.

The staff at Glebe is so supportive. They've always taken the time to answer our questions and any small issues have been dealt with so capably. Their communication with us and between themselves is excellent. Their flexibility is also brilliant.

Our boys have both been so happy and well supported, and have developed really well under Glebe's care. The learning experiences provided to our children are well thought through and varied and the staff members have really taken the time to get to know our children and to plan next steps for them. Even when our children have needed support with their behaviour, I've always felt that the staff look after them well and support us too.

Our children love the trips out and when they are able to show a family member what they do at nursery on visit mornings. We can't wait for our youngest to start because we know he will love it!

Many Thanks

LC

My son G is really happy attending Glebe Kids and has a real special bond with Natasha (Deputy Manager). It became apparent in September 2022 that G has additional learning needs and challenging behaviour. G struggled to leave the house and was unhappy attending Glebe Kids doing 30hrs a week. Glebe Kids have worked outstandingly with me to support G. G now thrives at nursery and is always excited to attend. G's behaviour has also made a huge improvement over a short period of time from having 15+ incidents in one week to having 5 incidents a month.

G struggles to express and understand his emotions and has high anxiety. G always feels safe and is very open in his communication to the staff at Glebe Kids. An example of this is that G does not mask his behaviour at nursery and feels very comfortable to express how he is feeling and why he may be feeling this with support from Glebe Kids.

Glebe Kids are amazing at having so many strategies in place for G to reinforce positive behaviours and to promote G's self image as G has low self esteem. September 2022 - January 2023 G would label himself as a 'naughty boy' or a 'bad boy'. G with the amazing support and working together with myself has spun this around and G now is a completely positive young boy.

Glebe Kids are always sharing what G gets up to at nursery. They do this by receiving weekly newsletters, regular emails and also by having boards by their entrances explain what G is doing for that week.

G is awaiting to be assessed for autism and ADHD. I would have been lost with the continual support of Glebe Kids, they are always there to listen and offer support and advice for any concerns I may have. Glebe Kids have supported me in completing forms for other professionals and also helping to complete my EHCP plan ready for G starting Reception in 2023. Glebe Kids are also outstanding in helping G become as school ready as possible by slowly implementing expectations and routines G will come across at school. For example; G does not like to sit with a group of children and walks around the nursery eating his snacks and lunch. They have been working with G to encourage him to eat in the lunchroom. Since April 2023 G at times accepts sitting and having snacks with his peers and accepts that he must eat within the lunchroom. Currently Glebe Kids are working in partnership with my and his new up coming school, in regular meetings to help G transition come September 2023.

Glebe Kids have always encouraged and supported G to excel within the nursery and never stopped encouraging G from excelling in nursery due to his additional needs and challenging behaviours. Glebe Kids are always inclusive with G and continuously make adaptations for G to participate in events and trips at school.

I honestly could not thank Glebe Kids enough for their continuous support with G. I always am and continue to recommend Glebe Kids to other parents. Sam, Natasha and all the ladies at Glebe Kids will be sorely missed come September 2023 for G's new chapter in Reception.

Kind Regards

Mrs J

My son A started at Glebe Kids in September 2022. Prior to this we had removed him from a local nursery due to ongoing issues.

Since starting at Glebe Kids he has thrived beyond what I thought possible. The nursery is genuinely fantastic and I am sad I didn’t send my older son here too. A loves coming to nursery, he talks happily about his friends and always comes home with a smile on his face and mud/paint/something on his clothes which shows how much he has done. The staff are wonderful, they are engaging and kind and seem genuinely interested in the children.

A starts school soon and whilst I believe he is probably ready, I know he is going to really

miss Nursery (and so am I!).

Mrs C

Our son C has been at Glebe Kids Nursery for 5 months. Kent, Sam and all the team are exceptional, and thanks to them C has settled in very well.

The communication between the team and us as parents is outstanding. We feel very included in C’s nursery activities and development with daily face to face updates, weekly whiteboards, newsletters, Facebook posts and focus week meetings.

We have enjoyed the home packs which C loved doing over the holidays/half terms as well as the regular story books/home reading. Sam has gone above and beyond to plan and arrange multiple trips/visits (e.g farm trips, fire engines, police car, ambulances, parent/special person tea parties etc) it’s been lovely to share these experiences with C and for all the family to attend at different times.

Thank you so much for all that you and the team do. It’s an incredible setting. I’m just sad we didn’t send C to Glebe Kids sooner!

Thank you.

My daughter sadly leaves Glebe Kids on Friday after 2 and a half years, to start school in September. I just wanted to send you a message to say Sam, Lisa and Donna are a very special bunch of ladies, they have helped my family through some tough times whilst we try to navigate our daughters SENCO needs and to say we are devastated she is leaving is an understatement. I am sure you are already fully aware of how amazing you all are but I just wanted to send you an email to reiterate this. You have all created so much joy in our daughters life and we will all miss you so much. Thank you will never be enough.

I wish you all the brightest future at Glebe Kids it’s a very special place.

To Marina, Lisa, Michelle, Paige, Bryony and Donna

Where do we begin... you all have become a massive part in Bonnie's life.  You have helped her learn and grow in to the confident little girl she is today. You praise her when she achieves, offer a warm hug when she's dad and loved her like your own.  I don't think you get praised enough by parents (including me) for the important role you play in the first stages of children's life.  I am truly grateful and proud of how kind and wonderful you have been to my little Bonnie.

Lots of love Nadine & Bonnie XX
